How it works

  1. Collect wishes Paste the link from the shop, done. Anything without a shop is simply written down.
  2. Send the link By WhatsApp, Signal, email or handwritten on the invitation. Whoever opens it needs no account and no app.
  3. Attach a tag Whoever gets something attaches a tag to the wish. Everyone else sees “taken”, only you do not.

The same list has two views. Whoever made it always sees every wish, without tags. Gift givers see what is already taken and can coordinate without giving anything away.

Questions

Do gift givers need an account?

No. Open the link, pick a wish, attach a tag. Only whoever creates a list needs an account.

Can I see what has already been bought?

No. You always see your list without tags. You find out when you unwrap.

Which shops can I add wishes from?

Any shop with a link, from the big online retailer to the shop around the corner. Without a link, just write the wish down.

Does haballes cost anything?

No. Some links are affiliate links, which keep haballes running. Nothing gets more expensive for you.

Is there an app?

haballes runs in the browser. On iPhone and Android you can add it to the home screen, and it opens like an app, no app store needed.

Where is my data stored?

On servers in Germany. haballes shows no ads and sets no tracking cookies. Details are in the haballes privacy policy (German).

What if haballes is not working?

status.dev4life.de shows whether something is down right now. You can also get notified by email there. If nothing is listed, write to support.
